Kevin Brown, Forefront's President, is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field, most of which has been spent supporting the US government. He has excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and is a team player. Prior to co-founding Forefront in 2010, Kevin worked for Lockheed Martin, Duer Advanced Technology & Aerospace, and the US Government.
Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. While working full-time, he continued his education; earning an M.S. in Information Technology from the University of Maryland, an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Management from the University of Maryland. Kevin has several technical certifications; including: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Systems Engineer, and Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator.
Some interesting facts about Kevin are that he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1996, and was a 4 year member of the University of Maryland Marching Band and Pep Band. He played trumpet with the Maryland Pep Band at many NCAA tournament games from 1997-2001. To this day, he is an avid Maryland Terps fan and attends all of the home football games with his wife and 3 children.
Craig Powell, Forefront’s Chief Executive Officer, has over 20 years of experience working in the Information Technology field, most of which has been spent working in IT Engineering supporting the US Goverment. He is a team player and enjoys tackling tough problems. Prior to co-founding Forefront in 2010, Craig worked for JME Inc. and the US Government.
Craig earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Miami. Craig earned an MS degree in Information Systems and Technology from the John Hopkins University, an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Management from the University of Maryland. Craig keeps abreast of emerging technologies with an emphasis on the open source technologies and has most recently been specializing in Big Data Engineering AI/ML.
Outside of work Craig enjoys good beer, bourbon, hard rock music, gaming, and following his favorite football and hockey teams: the Miami Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Jason Keys, Forefront's Chief Technical Officer, has over 11 years of experience in the information technology field primarily working on federal government contracts. He has extensive experience automating the deployment of infrastructure and application components supporting big data initiatives. Prior to co-founding Forefront in 2010, Jason worked for Lockheed Martin, and ETS Corp.
Jason earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida (2014 Fiesta Bowl Champs). Jason is also a certified Redhat Certified Systems Engineer, and Cloudera Hadoop Administrator and Developer.
Jason is an avid UCF Knights fan and flies down to Florida at least 2 times a year to attend home football games.
Thomas Liversage, Forefront's Chief Business Development Officer, is an Executive Leader and Entrepreneur with over 21 years of experience in Enterprise Information Technology. Thomas has a strong background in Enterprise Architecture and Systems Engineering, and in his executive role, he has proven his ability to bring new ideas and business development concepts to significantly enhance the development of Forefront as a small business. Thomas is a strategic thinker who has the ability to assimilate and integrate organizational best practices to further develop corporations as well as first hand knowledge of contracting in the Federal Government.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology and a Master of Science in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University. Thomas comes to Forefront from iCTek, Inc. where he served as founder and President. Thomas has owned many successful small businesses throughout his career and has worked for large corporations such as MCI, Fujitsu, and Lockheed Martin
Some interesting facts about Thomas are that he is a true entrepreneur in mind and spirit. He also thrives on investing in the stock market. Thomas holds a patent on the “Bed Sheet” and a song copyright. When Thomas is not busy working on a new idea or business, he enjoys spending time with his family.
